Can you think of a better way to spend your weekend than travel to a big city? To a metropolis where you revel in international cuisine, different architecture, innovative art and culture galore.
There are certainly things that are just as nice, but I love the variety of options and the pulse of a big city.
The big city is a cornucopia for traveling souls. You’re in such a hurry when you’re trotting through the city. There are so many impressions, colors, details, curves and shapes that it’s impossible to absorb it all.
When you live in Aarhus, it doesn’t take much longer to drive to Germany’s second largest city Hamburg than it does to drive to Copenhagen.
For an art and architecture buff like me, Hamburg is wonderful, with many museums, galleries, and the new Hafencity district is packed with new and exciting architecture. I’m having the time of my life in Hamburg.
And to think, Hamburg actually has more than 2,300 bridges. That means more bridges than in Amsterdam or Venice – impressive!
